Q: Lincoln Continental?
I am considering buying a 93 Lincoln for 1000 bucks. It has no rearview mirror, no air, and the drivers side window doesnt work. Was originally asking 1500. What should I do?
A: "I work for a car dealer and I tell all my customers if they can't afford a new Lincoln, they surely can't afford an old used one." Could not have said it better myself. A '93 model year Lincoln Continental is one of Ford's WORST vehicles. The 3.8L V6 is extremely prone to timing cover/head gasket failures. The air struts and the air suspension compressor are also very prone to failures, let alone the transmission. All of the above mentioned items are easily more than double, if not triple the $1,000 in cost to repair EACH. You should run as fast as you can from this vehicle, as if Mike Tyson on steriods were chasing you! Hope this helps.

Q: I would like to know if steering wheels are interchangeable from a Lincoln TC to a Lincoln Continental?
I have a 2000 Lincoln Town Car and I would like to know if the steering wheel on a 2000 Continental would interchange. If anyone can help please let me know. Thanks!!!!
A: the first answer that chic gave you is wrong. From 1995 and newer the steering wheels are the same its the Mark's that are different. Now the complete steering column won't change out but the steering wheel does.
Q: How do I get my 1966 Lincoln Continental to run better?
How can I get my 1966 Lincoln Continental to run smoother?
It has 68k original miles. Bought the car for $1900 and it runs but nothing else work (windows, clock, lights, etc). Just some surface rust. I changed, plugs, wires, rotors. Just bought a fuel pump, high volume oil pump and water pump. Every mechanic says it runs strong but I would like for it to run smoother!
Other than rebuilding the engine (Because the engine runs strong and its Mileage) what other things can I change out on it to have it run better before I rebuild the front end and paint it? And also where can I get the parts from?
Also, if you have a front windshield let me know Email: emeka2345@aol.com
A: You don't mention which engine you have, but, I had an old Lincoln with a 460 and it took a new carburetor to make her run right. As the old sayin' goes, She would pass anything but a gas station after that. Good Luck!
Q: how to lower rear end suspension on 94 lincoln continental?
i need to know how to release air from rear suspension on 94 lincoln continental. the back ens is too high sense changed tire. i know there's a unit on the dirver's rear tire that controls height but don't know how to adjust it.
A: did you shut off the air ride before you changed your tire? If not that's the problem but it should fix itself shortly if you did turn off air ride and it is to high in back unplug battery for a few minutes or half hour and reconnect and start car it should adjust if not shut off car get out shut door and go around to all doors and trunk and open and close them somewhere through all this it should fix itself.

Q: 1995 Lincoln Continental needs reset after fuel pump & starteer solenoid repair?
I just recently replaced a fuel pump and a starter solenoid on a 1995 Lincoln Continental. I have good fuel pressure but I can't get it to start again. It has an anti-theft system which may have something to do with why it's not starting. I'd like to know what to do next. I don't have a manual and I can't seem to find the manual either. Is there an electronic "reset" procedure to clear the car's brain and perhaps get it started?
A: It might be the breaker. It is a red button down near the floor in a little black box. But that was on a 1997 Lincoln, Im not sure if it's on the 1995. Give it a shot.

A: i think u can b/c there all part of ford
Q: Speed Sensor 1996 Lincoln Continental-anyone know where it is located? Somewhere on the transmission?
1996 Lincoln Continental, the transmission was recently rebuilt (right before I bought it) and it seems to hunt for the proper gear. Doesn't slip or rev, just shifts up and down a lot and someone suggested possibly a bad speed sensor, but I'm open to suggestions!
A: I'm no mechanic but in researching your question, I find the answers to be mind-boggling. The site below is from intel and explains the computerized systems in today's cars. Scary!!

However, I did find a site, shown below, that may be able to help you and it's from Lincoln itself. Go there and ask your question. Good luck.

Q: Can someone tell me what year Lincoln Continental has the short fat rear trunk area? I think it's 1998 or 1999
I tried searching but probably did a bad job of it. Actually, I didn't even know that a Lincoln Town Car was seperate from a Lincoln Continental. And when did LS become a version? I briefly saw one for sale but couldn't stop because of rush hour traffic. If anyone can help me, please send a picture to slickporter@yahoo.com. Thanks everybody!
