It's a recent commercial that I saw playing during tonight's Heroes episode. It is NOT High Roller by Crystal Method, Technologic by Daft Punk, or Space Oddity by Cat Power/David Bowie.

like to buy a mkz 2008 with low miles in northwest ohio southeast michigan at a local lincoln car dealer or a private owner in ohio.
A: I would stay away from anything built by ford these days. Car companies that are near financial ruin such as Ford are going to cut corners anywhere they can to save money. Buying lower grade steel can save the company millions, but will cost the customer with rust repairs when the warranty runs out. Also cheaper plastics, paints, everything that will look and feel nice when new will age quickly and look like crap. Also worker morale at Ford is very low, so I would not want to buy something built by people who no longer have faith for the company they work for.

i tried to turn on the car this morning and it wouldn't turn on. I've had the car for almost 2 years, and I don't even know what kind of battery it uses either! I know - I don't know crap about my car! but now I'm stressed because I don't have money and I have to buy this....
A: Chances are the car is still under the original factory warranty (48-mos/50,000 miles) Your problem might be taken care of at no charge.

my aunt and uncle have a brand new lincoln mkz. i want one as my first car but theirs has the standard 6 speaker audio system and it really sounds absolutely horrible. does the thx certified premium audio system sound good? what about the distortion? i want a good factory system like bose. but unfortunately thats not available in the lincoln. how many speakers are there in the thx premium sound system also?

Q: Lincoln Town Car V8 vs Lincoln MKZ V6?

I noticed that the 2007 Lincoln Town car, with a 4.6L V8 (I'm not familiar w/ Ford engines, but I'm assuming a detuned Mustang engine) only cranks out 224 HP while the Lincoln MKX, with a 3.5L V6 cranks out 265 HP. Both cars get the same almost the same gas mileage, and only weigh a 100lb difference from each other.
That said, why doesn't Ford just put the more powerful V6 in the Town Car, giving their customers more power, while costing the company less.
Don't tell me that people who buy a $40k-50k Lincoln only buy it for its looks, and don't care about power, (like people who buy a Rolls Royce only buy it for its looks too?)
Ford could save some money, while giving their cars a bit more power. Is it just tradition that they still put a weak V8 in the Town Car (and yes it is weak if you've ever driven a decent V8)
BTW I know they don't put a fully tuned 4.6L V8 HP in a two ton car for MPG purposes
Also this example can be asked why companies still use lesser V8s when many V6 engine are capable of 250-300HP already
With the exception of the high performance V8s (like the LS1 and LS2), most V8s found in full size cars, and SUVs could be replaced with equally powerful V6s
I know V8s have more potential, though few companies are willing to invest in powerful V8s at this time, with gas $3.50/gal and all
EDIT: I meant to say MKX not MKZ, MKX is the same as the Ford Edge. Though the MKZ has the same engine, the MKX is the one thats about the weight as the TC
A: The v6 has more HP, but it has less torque. The more torque a car has, the faster it will get moving from a stop. The v6 hits its peak hp at almost 2k rpm higher than the v8. The faster an engine turns, the more fuel it inhales. If the v6 was put in the TC, the car would be slower off the line and would get worse gas milage.
High reving small engines are better suited to small cars, big heavy cars need slow turning torque rich engines.

A: No question the Lincoln is way more car. And for the above poster, the Z is based on the 6/Milan platform. Also, the Nav system in the Z was voted best by JD powers in 2006, edging out the Lexus system. The TSX is a spruced up Honda civic. To all the domestic doubters & haters- when are you going to stop bashing the domestics for no reason and give them a chance?! Honda & toyota make good cars but by no means are they superior to us. Look at all the recalls toyota just had plus the sludged engines. Honda just reacalled 36,000 civic hybrids for stalling, not to metion the accord for airbag problems. Maybe some people should move to Japan!

A: Hate to break it to you, but BMW owns Lincoln. I'm a member of the BMW CCA and we go on drives. There was a 128i in front of me and I was pushing my car to keep up with it on a windy road. They are in a sense little rockets. Also, as cliche as it is, depends on the driver. Also the 128 is A LOT lighter than an MKZ as it has a lot less things and a way smaller body. I don't know too much about a MKZ but based on what I DO know, the BMW would be faster stock than a MKZ stock.
