Q: trying to instal a dual cd player in 05 kia rio.?
The wire colors do not match and I cant find anything with a diagram for the wires already stock in the car. Does anyone know what each wire color is for?Or where I can find a diagram that shows what colored wire goes to what....... Some one broke into my car and stole my other cd player and I have to drive 5 hours next week so i really want to find this.

Q: Kia Rio lifespan?! in terms of milage?!?
i've been wondering how long my kia rio is going to last, it has 56k miles on it and is in great condition. its a 2001, sedan. if anyone knows the lifespan of this vehicle let me know!
A: I don't own a kia, never have and never will, but I agree with the person that said sell it. I had a classmate who have a kia and she had to spend $2000 or $3000 to replace the engine at 60,000 miles. To me, they just don't seem like reliable cars, so if you're able to, sell it before it eats up whatever you have in your wallet and in the bank. And I've seen many Kia parts on the side of the highway, so they seem to just fall apart literally from even the most minor of accidents.
Q: 04' kia rio problem?
help i think my kia rio is made of paper mache'. also it is totally gutless from 0-anything and from 60-anything. also the air conditioner is pretty much useless in 95+ degree weather. it is made so cheap i once accidentally closed my friends hand in the front door up twords the top of the door and the b-pillar and it didn't really hurt him. is this typical for all rio's or just all kia's?

A: ouch, sorry to here. Assuming the engine is a non-interference engine ( you didn't bend any valves when the belt slipped)
The proper method on all cars is to locate the No.1 cyclinder (check your plugs) Then rotate the crank until the No.1 piston is at TDC (top dead center). At this point you want to rotate the cam until both the intake and exhaust valves are both closed. This will essentially be your compression stroke. (see the link below for a nice graphic) Now if everythign is aligned you should see some alignment markers on the cam and engine begine to line up. If you car has a balance shaft you will have to make sure those are also properly aligned. I suggest getting a hanyes manual also.
Q: 2001 kia rio, alternator is good battery is new, why wont my alternator charge the battery?
Bought new alt... new batt... and issue is still happing coudl it be a fuse
A: What is the condition of you cables? Did you clean your connection points as to where the alternator mounts? Are the cables to the battery tight? Do you have a good ground ie. motor to chassis?
Will the car start and run if so take it to a Auto parts store and have them check it out this is a free service.
Its possible that the battery is no good even though its new. It's also possible that the alternator might not be good even if new.

I am looking at a 2002 Kia Rio with only 20,000 miles. It is practically a brand new car. But i am scared to get it because its a Kia. Its only $4,500 which is almost $3000 cheaper than the Kelly Blue Book price. Should i get it or not?

specially because its $3000 cheaper than kbb value, it means it has a problem. dont let the owner make u push dat kia to the junkyard, let him do it for himself

A: Honda Fit: 33mpg city, 38mpg highway.
Toyota yaris: 32mpg city, 39 mpg highway.
Nissan Versa: 32mpg city, 36mpg highway.
Kia Rio: 32mph city, 36 highway.
The Fit and Yaris are almost exactly the same, but both better than Rio and Versa. The Rio and Versa gas mileage are the same.
The cheapest is the Rio.
All are reliable, but the most reliable is Honda Fit.
The most fun to drive is the Fit.
The largest is the Versa.
The best looking is the Yaris.
The smallest is the Yaris.
Q: Paint jobs for a Kia Rio hatchback..?
Hey after talking to many of my friends, family members, and a few of you on this board im pretty set on driving the family 2002 kia rio green (yea i kno) hatchback for my last year in HS. I saved about $1000 from working for a lil and think i want to give it a black paint job and am wondering whats a good place and price for a paintjob and if its even worth it....thanks
A: Don't waste your money on a paint job if you are only going to drive it for a year. Changing the color of a car costs 5000-10,000 dollars because you have to paint the door jams and inside the trunk. If you get a cheap job and they just spray the outside the car it will be worth less when you go to sell it. And a cheap aftermarket paint job in general will devalue a car.
Save the money for your senior trip, you will enjoy that a lot more.
Q: whos got a kia rio with most miles on it i have a 01 with 140,000 just wondering 2 see how long my car will?

A: I know a guy who had around 200k on is 01 Rio before his engine seized. He was on call everyday and drove close to 100 miles everyday. Not sure how well he took care of it but an engine seizing up could mean he didn't change the fluids and oil as often as he should.
I think it's a decent car but for long commutes stay on top of the routine maintenance. Don't take any chances.

A: many reasons for unusual engine noises-a heavy knocking noise low down in the engine which increases with acceleration could be a crankshaft bearing-main or big end. a lighter sounding noise -piston or small end bearing.noises from the top of the engine-valve or camshaft problems.water pumps and alternators make screeching noises when the bearings or drive belts are loose or worn.to check remove belts and if the noise has gone then you have your answer
Q: kia rio 02 repair price?(oil pan steering)?
Hey guys whatsup. I was involved in an accident in which my 02 Kia Rio (sucks i know) hit a curb. and because the car is so little rather than hitting the tire it hit the oil pan and cracked or destroyed it. any body know how much this will cost me to repair. Also it was real hard to turn the wheel but i was thinking this is just because theres no oil for it. is that right? oh and the airbags but i dont think i even need those so i dont think they will cost anything. I would rather just by myself a new car but my dad would not be cool with that cause he gave me this.Thankyou
