Q: Kia Sephia Air Conditioner?
My 99 Kia Sephia has me in tears. The blower motor (it seems) stopped working and I went to get a new one. The guy hooked the old one up and it worked and said to try to get a new switch for in the dash. So I got a switch and that still didn't work. I hooked a multimeter up the female end of the wire that goes to the blower motor and it is working. Everytime I double check the blower it works too. Need to fix this so I can sell this car.
A: there is a good chance the blower motor relay or sometimes called ac relay that is what sends the power to the blower motor so that it will come on. make sure the fan is grounded also a poor ground will also cause problems
Q: I have a Kia sephia 2000 the motor work fine but I can't go for more than 40 miles/hour, in DIrect, HELP!!
A: Get the transmission checked out. Also check the accelerator cable if it is worn out it can affect the get up n go in your car.

My radio, clock and dome light aren't working. How do I replace the fuses for this? I don't understand the names for things on the diagram. There is no accessories fuse that I can tell...

A: 1. find the fuse box
2. see if any of the fuses inside are dark in color or black ( which means theyr blown...)
3.go to your local car store and buy the same exact fuses
4. put them in the same spot you took the old ones out of.

i know to leave the transmisson out and the motors are the same year and both kia sephia's, is there anything that i should be aware of
A: Make sure your cars computer knows it's an automatic, Their is a difference in the prom pack. change little prom pak. Change coolant radiator. Cover hole in floor board. lots of little things. Hope that helps you.

How do I know if these are going out? About a year ago, i replaced both the right and left cv axles. Now the front end is making a noise that is hard to describe, and when I asked a friend what it could be, that is what he mentioned.
A: Take your Kia out on the highway (dual lane) and change lanes back and forth. Listen for changes in noise pitch when you turn the wheel to change lanes. This action distributes side pressures on the front wheel bearings. You could also get a automotive stethoscope, put the car on jack stands up front, start the car, put it in gear and carefully listen for one bearing making more noise than the other.

A: It's time to change the timing belt if you haven't done it by now regardless of mileage as time also plays a factor in this. If water pump is in there have them do that at the same time as it's practically the same amount of work. If belt goes it will need an upper engine job at the very least.

A: Make sure your tires are properly inflated, get an alignment, take out all the junk in your car you don't need, and drive slowly. The driver will make the biggest difference.

A: The vacuum diagram should be on the engine information sticker under the hood. I would clean the throttle body, they fill up with carbon and block the idle circuit. Also check fuel pressure, Low pressure will have the same driveabilty symptom.

A: Just go to autozone and buy a can of refrigerant. some of them have a small flexible hose and fittings attached to the can, along with a valve and gauge. buy it and the clerk will add it to your a/c system for free. it helps if you show some cleavage.
Q: i have a sephia kia 96 need help with motor mounts and the problems it will cause?
A: If they are broke replace them, use jack or engine hoist to support engine while doing the work. My brother had a Comero with bad motor support and when making left turn the gas pedal would go to the floor causing car to donut in intersection. It didn't release until it jumped a ditch and landed on other side.

I'm preparing to put in a new thermostat but dont know the exact location of were the thermostat is. Im at work trying to fix it right now so I dont have the option of a manual and can not find anything online about it.

A: Once again...follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator to the engine block. Where it connects to the engine is where you'll find the thermostat.
It's under a housing...should be two or three bolts holding the housing down. Don't forget to replace the gasket.

A: there's a tool that you can buy at a parts store that will go behind it and trip a small clip that will allows it to come off,be careful though sometimes the clip will come all the way off and fly loose and you,ll loose it,put your hand over it when doing this and it will stop it from taking off on you,most of the time they will stay on,good luck on it and have a happy thanksgiving.
