Q: Kia Spectra dash at defogger vents lifting up. How do I repair without removing dash or windshield?

The correct oil is not listed in the Owners Manual or on the cap under the hood.
A: I strongly recommend that you look in the owners manual. If you do not have it, then I would contact Kia directly. Another suggestion, when you find which viscosity is correct do NOT go out and buy the "cheap stuff". Valvoline is a good brand available almost everywhere, and so is Castrol.
Q: What would be the best Cd Mp3 option for a kia spectra?
A: alpine there cd players are great and there price isnt too bad either or a kenwood there pretty nice too.. make sure the face plate comes off or it will get stolen

The Kia Spectra is better than the Rio in every way, but the Rio is cheaper and gets 2mpg better.

A: It is not recommended. U-Haul does allow a 5'x10' trailer. I would recommend a 5'x8' trailer.

Q: does anyone have an idea on how to remove a front break disc off a kia spectra 01?
A: It's not nearly as difficult as you may think! Once the caliper, pads, and pad bracket is removed the rotor is "loose". I don't believe Kia ever used retention screws on their rotors...if they did you'll see them, 1 or 2 small alan head screws attaching the rotor to the hub. Like I said I don't believe Kia ever used this mount style.
You've gotten this far and the rotor is supposedly loose...so why isn't it coming off? It's been mounted to that hub pressed on by the wheel and exposed to serious amounts of heat. Most rotors that have not been removed or serviced in the last 6 months or so require a bit of "persuasion".
The easiest way to break it loose is to tap the center (in between the lug nut studs) with a hammer. You'll see loads of debris and rust falling out as you do so. Tap around the edge of the "hat" as well (not the silver stopping surface, the raised area where the rotor mounts). It may require a few taps or it may require a few minutes of tapping. It will however break loose and pull away from the hub.
Once the rotor is removed make sure you clean the hub (the component holding the wheel studs) well with brake cleaner prior to reassembly. This will ensure the new rotor (or the old turned rotor) will seat correctly.
If all else fails you can buy the complete break down manual for your vehicle at most auto parts stores for about $12. This guide will give you step by step instructions on how to do the most common repairs to your vehicle.

Q: Kia Spectra Rear Wheel stuck?
I have an 02 Kia spectra and on a cold start the rear passenger wheel is completly frozen and wont rotate. After going in reverse and then going forward a couple of times I hear a thud and then it rotates again. I have never seen anything like this please help. Thanks

Sell the car! I had Kia spectra and it was a piece of shit! I am serious! it was almost new, the engine looked brand new and it was in pretty good shape but...all of sudden it start making noise in the engine and wouldn't start, then it would start but didn't take any race. it was a mess! Problem with the wheels and all other kinds of trouble...I am glad I had a warrenty on it..I SOLD the damn thing for good..If you listen to me....You better sell it before it is too late and you won;t be able to get your money back....GOOD LUCK

A: It shouldn't die, because there's no law against an owner removing their own airbags. Is it a good idea? Probably not. Also, your airbag light is going to be on from now on.
