Q: How much leg room is in a Lexus IS300?
I know it's 42.7" but I want to know if I will have trouble getting in or if i would fit. I am 6'3".
All of my height is in my legs, so I'm a bit more concerned with my knees hitting the steering wheel.
A: go test drive one and you'll know. Just knowing the raw numbers will not tell you if YOU will fit because your torso to leg ratio might be different than someone else's. 6'3" I would say is far beyond average and so you might have some knee issues. Keep this in mind, you won't have anyone sitting behind you...

Seems like no one likes to give this information out, every website I've checked conveniently "forgets" the number.
The specific year I'm looking for is 2004.

A: it amazes me that people go the extra mile and make this stuff so confusing. Call the parts department in any toyota or lexus dealer.... they will give you a part number in 15 seconds. it's the same PS pump as a lexus GS300 98+, SC300 98+, or non-turbo toyota supra 98+. best of luck.
Q: Could you put tubro in a Lexus IS300?
I want to know if you could put turbo in a lexus IS300 and the transmission would be automatic? And If you could do that could you put a blow off value on? and How much would the turbo be?
A: you dont want to. the tranny will take it but you will have to fix the gears every other month. there is no tracktion control for such power in is300 so your tires will burnout every other month. and the engine's life will become 1/3. is 300 is a expensive car to fix but reliable. if you remove the reliablity by puting a tubro then your car will become worthless and costy. the ride comfort will disappear too.

A: You dont. You have to go back to the dealership and have them do it for you. It will probably cost you another 2 or 300 dollars though.

I have owned Toyotas in the past and both of them ended up having over 250K when I sold them..
A: It depends on how well the previous owner(s) maintained the car. If well taken care of (regular oil changes, transmission, radiator, etc), then you could put quite a few more miles on it. good luck

A: You can try Ebay. They have everything you could possibly imagine for sale, cheaper than other retailers too. Anything from OEM factory parts (or electronics in your case) to aftermarket part. You can get shipping charges for cheap too. And also when you search for your Lexus's GPS you can type in your zip code and find one in California near you.
Just be as descriptive as possible in your search criteria. Remember to put in the year of your Lexus in as well.

I want either a manual or an automatic with tiptronic only, and it seems that all the 2005 models dont have the tiptronic. Which models do??
A: You're probably having trouble finding it because Tiptronic is not a term used by any Japanese or American car. It's a Porsche trademark, and the only other companies that can use it are their affiliates - VW, Audi, Seat, and Skoda.
According to Edmunds, the 05 IS had a stick standard with available automatic.
The 06 IS250 had a stick standard with a six speed shiftable auto (which would be what you're looking for), the IS350 in 06 had the six speed shiftable auto only.
So - if you can't find an 05 with a stick, upgrade to the 06 and you'll find what you want.

A: all tuners know its a tried and true series. 1st improve the intake (Cold air intake is hte best, then short ram) Exhaust (full catback system) and Headers, this will improve air flow and is easily installed. it should boost hp by edging on 40-50 BHP. Next step would be an ECU which is a plug and play part that will tweak how the engine runs improving the power bands length and make power production more efficient. these can boost power varying from 10-30 hp. Next would be forced induction- Turbo Chargers or Super chargers and internal engine improvements. this step has from 40-300 bhp gain potential.
