Q: lexus parts please help ?
Several questions: Q1: What is canister o-ring. The mechanic told me that I have to change it. Is this a fuel filter for ES 300? Q2: Where can I find lexus junk yards?

A: Q1: Canister o-ring is a seal between two parts, such as a fuel filter and the fuel line. Without knowing more, I'd think that your mech. is talking about the evap emissions canister. Q2: search the 'net for salvage yards that specialize in foreign makes. That'd be your best bet.

Q: Lexus ES 350 parts?
Where can you buy performance parts for a 2007 Lexus ES 350? Can Camry after market performance parts be used in a Lexus? I am interested in a cold air intake, strut bar (for the front), and a nice exhaust.

A: NOT TO SOUND DISRESPECTFUL BUT WHY WOULD YOU RUIN A PERFECTLY GREAT VEHICLE, NOT TO MENTION A POSSIBILITY OF VOIDING THE COMPLETE WARRANTY.

Q: Parts of a toyota model that will fit a 2001 lexus IS300?
I am looking for parts for my 2001 lexus IS300, but I wanted to see what toyota model's would have the same parts as this car. I need the radiator, and the fan shroud assembly. Thanks

A: The 1993-98 N/A Supra shares the same engine as the IS300. Other than that, your only other choice are the Lexus GS300. You should ask a Toyota /Lexus Specialty shop about the radiator and shroud assembly. This car is rear wheel drive and all of the current Toyota cars are front wheel drive, except for most of the Lexus models.

Q: Where can I find a cross-referencing list between my Lexus GS300 (98) parts and the corresponding Toyota parts

A: Go to the parts counter and get the part numbers, then you could go to the Toyota dealer and ask for those part numbers

Q: Used Acura RSX vs Lexus IS 300. How Much Would The Difference For Repair And Parts Costs Be?
Don't ask why these two, but I'm pretty much set on getting either an Acura RSX or a Lexus IS 300. A used car with probably 60 K miles on it at the most. Now I've had two Integras. Great cars. A few more repairs on the 2nd one for some reason, but I have 160 K miles on it and had 190 K on the last one. Anyway, I'm assuming the parts for the Lexus will be much more, but how much? And are they more labor intensive for repairs (ie would take more hours)? Mind you, I'd NEVER take a car that wasn't under warranty to a dealer for repairs because they are the spawn of satan. If I need to get the car fixed, I'll be going to my usual guy at the local Chevron who services a good chunk of the population's cars where I live. Always has a fair price and does a great job. But for typical repairs: clutch replacement, brakes, ignition, master cylinder, valve cover gasket, etc; for the same type of repair would the price to fix the Lexus be astronomically more than the Acura?

A: Well figure in that the IS300 is a 6 cylinder car... so naturally you'll probably have slighly higher maintence and fuel costs. I had an RSX type s for a while... put 60k miles on it... never had one problem with the car... even after 30,000 turbo miles...all i did was change the oil ever 3,000 miles. I now have an IS350 with 30,000 miles... all i do is change the oil.. no problems... You can't go wrong with either... one thing about the RSX is that its still a new looking car where the IS300 is kinda old school now.
