Q: Can I preserve my Lexus (Toyota) GPS data when buying a new car?
I have almost 100 locations stored in my Lexus IS350 GPS Navigation system. I am buying a new Toyota 4Runner (I need an SUV for my work). [Toyota and Lexus are the same company] Can all my GPS/Navigation points be transferred to my new car?

A: You should go ask your dealer because they should have a solution for data transferring to a different car.

Q: Help with the new mercedes s65amg vs lexus ls460l?
The new lexus ls 460l has the new advanced parking guidance system,by denso, but when I went to the showroom and test the feature, the lexus knock onto the car beside. I heard that the new mercedes cl and s will also have the new advanced parking guidance system but as a option. Will the feature in the mercedes be manufactured by bosch? .Will it be much more better than the lexus ls460l? PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A: Contrary to what Spamme4444 says, Mercedes are crap. My parents have had four of them- one E Class and three S Class models ( all bought new). The only good ones are the pre-1995 models. I also have to friends that are Mercedes techs at different dealerships. Both say nothing but bad things about their reliability. Mercedes even admits to the quality problems with their cars and they are working to rectify those issues. Essentially, you're paying for the name right now. Lexus are great cars. I have to admit however that they look like they are copying Mercedes in design and their differences make them look even more boring than Mercedes. Nonetheless, they are the most reliable luxury sedans with the best build quality of any of them. Heck, this 18 year old luxury marque has been setting the standards in luxury cars since the early 90's. BMW and Mercedes are essentially using Lexus as the standard to match and surpass, but to no avail. Funny thing is that most of the Japanese brands started out copying Mercedes in engine design. Now with Mercedes declining so much in quality and falling behind in technology for so many years, they have been rushing to be as high tech and are failing at it. 300K trouble-free miles on a Lexus is common. Old Mercedes are like that as well. You'll be lucky to get 100K miles without problems on newer ones. About the parking guidance system, Mercedes will probably use a similar system from Bosch as well. How well will it work? Not sure, but if you had the problem on the Lexus, many others probably have too. That only means that Lexus is already looking into improving the system. They thrive for perfection and it shows. wait a while and test drive one again next year.

Q: I am thinking of buying a new car in "07 please tell me about the Lexus RX 400h?
Are Hybrid living up to the hype? What about maintainance on these cars? Are repairs costly and are mechanical technicians knowledgeable of servicing these cars? Ryan Your answer is great!!! thank you I was trying to give you the thumbs up but i guess I clicked the wrong thumb I am sorry .. YOUR answer deserves a big thumbs up rating :-) I would really like to purchase an SUV style car for the winters here in St Louis but also need the fuel economy as I drive a good distance from my home to where I work. I also do a lot of travel related to my work. I have researched on edmonds o2007 Lexus RX 400h o2007 Mercury Mariner Hybrid o2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid o2007 Saturn VUE o2007 Ford Escape Hybrid but I must admit ( and it has nothing to do with being female) I am not as intelligent about cars as I would like to be.

A: In short, it depends on what your priorities are. Hybrid live up to the hype, in terms of the reduction in emissions gasses, yes, however most of them rarely deliver the promised fuel mileage, though they do better than their non-hybrid counterparts. The Lexus RX400h is essentially a hybrid which is biased towards performance. It's good choice if you are looking for something with a bit of a "Gee whiz" factor as it's very cutting-edge technology thats fun to discuss around the water cooler at work. It's a good choice if you want a luxury vehicle but want to do a little something for the environment and/or get to drive in the carpool/HOV lane by yourself (depending on where you live) It's NOT a good choice if you want a hybrid because you imagine the fuel savings will pay for the difference or if you think you are going to get amazing gas mileage and save the planet. It won't save you money over the regular RX model. Hybrid technology has been around for nearly 10 years now and Toyota/Lexus is at the head of the pack. It's been proven reliable for the most part so there are no worries there. Maintainance for the first 5-6 years should be virtually no different than a regular car and Lexus technicians are trained to work on these vehicles. Now, if you are still driving it in 10 years and you need the hybrid batteries replaced or your ECU reflashed and you have some mechanic named Bubba at a garage in the middle of nowhere in the Arizona desert are you screwed? Yes. But ask yourself how likely that scenario is. Odd are, if you are in the market for a vehicle in this price range, you won't be driving it by the time it needs the batteries replaced or needs any expensive maintainance for the hybrid system. By then it will be someone elses problem and you will be driving a newer hybrid Lexus burning 100% ethanol or something.

Q: I am looing into new cars and compared meredes benz clk350 or lexus is250?

A: Look at the IS 350 instead of the IS 250, there is a big difference in performance. Otherwise, they are both excellent vehicles.

Q: Which is a better brand of car (brand new) Lexus or Acura?
I would choose Lexus dont get me wrong there both awsome brands!

A: Brand wise? Lexus by far. Lexus is the new definition of luxury and reliability. Acura, it's luxurious no doubt, but it's sort of like comparing Mercedes to Audi, which are you looking for?

Q: Have you seen the new Lexus commercial on the GS?
Can the new Lexus GS really do doughnuts and so forth like a sports car when it is automatic? Or is it standard? I never thought automatics can do doughnuts if its true...

A: Yes, only if the driver knows what he's doing. You just need a good driver, a fast car, and the traction control system off.

Q: i heard that infiniti cars and lexus cars have some sort of computer device... & when that device messes up...?

A: Modern cars of today are run by computers. They are fuel effecient, environmentally friendly and are more reliable than the conventional ones.Computer device ( ecm,ecu or the brain) in the car normally last the lifetime of the vehicle. The ones that messes up easily are the sensors and actuators. $12,000 for ecu is overpriced!!
